This career involves creating and designing&nbsp;parks, courtyards, and botanical gardens in different areas.&nbsp;</div><ul><li>What skills would you need to be successful in this career?&nbsp;</li></ul><div>You will need the skills of understanding the math behind the design. The ability to create a model of your design and share it with others. As a landscape architect, you not only have to know about the design, but the materials that you are using, such as flowers and plants that can withstand the environment, during all seasons.&nbsp;<br><br>What surprised you about this career or what questions do you have?<br>&nbsp;I never realized how much planning and commitment it took to create these outdoor gardens.&nbsp;</div><ul><li>What role does STEM play in this career?</li></ul><div>Science: understanding the plants, and materials&nbsp;<br><br>Engineering: building models of the plan<br><br>Art: creating different models based on the seasons changing/ understanding that at different times of the year the gardens will look differently<br><br>Math: symmetry, geometry</div>]]></description>

This career involves creating the wonders that we see outside.</div><ul><li>What skills would you need to be successful in this career? </li></ul><div>The women in the video expressed utilizing geometry and how essential it is to creating the different landscapes. </div><ul><li>What surprised you about this career or what questions do you have?</li></ul><div>I loved how one of the architects described her sidewalk. It was impressive that on the plans you could see that the sidewalks were not straight, but if you were to look down the walkway it would look straight. </div><div><br></div><ul><li>What role does STEM play in this career?</li></ul><div>Math: Geometry and Science: looking at plants and how they evolve over the seasons. Art as they create landscapes from "scratch". Engineering: Model building</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
