Debates would be a great idea to incorporate into Padlet.
What would happen is I write a topic or question as the title. I will write the directions in the subtitle and students will be able to post their opinions to my post as we did in the ice breaker on day 1 of class.

Creating a space where students can collaborative in video form is a fun activity for my 5th grade and I could use it in my performance task unit instead or in addition to Google Docs.
Each student would be able to post various videos communicating to their group members. For instance, I would create different posts with their group number and students would collaborate together within their group's bulletin. Unlike Google Docs., this will allow students to better understand each other by watching and listening. At the end of the task, students can create a video reflection.

Digital Storytelling

Plotagon is a great tool for storytelling for various reasons.
First, it is engaging for people of all ages(depending on the content) the teacher is not front and center like in a typical classroom setting.
Second, the teacher can use this to introduce lessons or to make topics more understandable by creating a story with various characters. Another way that Plotagon may be used is when my students are to make a presentation on a research topic; they can present the same information in a video format. Each of them can be characters, explaining to the rest of the class. This idea involves collaboration among students-- a post-industrial way of learning.

They also have a Facebook group and speaking of Facebook, I can create a Facebook group for my students (private of course) where we can discuss what we did in previous lessons, share ideas from the web on various projects (with high school students)

I like the idea of using Moodle or another platform where I can summarize the lessons for students . This can also help me keep track of what I teach. My professors have done this during my graduate schooling and I find it very beneficial as it keeps me organized and I know exactly what I need to read/do for the next lesson
