This assessments strengths are that it allows students to review what they do or do not know based on the quiz. The weakness of this would be the fact that we are not building on anything. With quizzes, your usually either right or wrong in your answers. Overall these quizzes build confidence for summative assessments. This assessment would be used after going over a lesson.
 Wees, David.

This assessment is great to have students get to know each historical figure on a deeper understanding when writing a letter to another historical figure. It allows them to bring them selves back to that time. This assessments weakness is that it would be hard to get an accurate reading on what they actually know about each historical figure. After going over some important history figures, we would give this assessment a try.
Wees, David. (2012, December 10). 56 Different ways to gather evidence of student achievement.

Venn diagrams are a great way to get students to compare and contrast different ideas. The problem with the Venn diagram is that it can be too complicated when reasoning objects with many classes. I would use venn diagrams as an assessment in my class when describing things that are not complex. I would try and incorporate some Venn diagrams in the math room, trying to group shapes after a geometry lesson.
 Wees, David.
