I also want to investigate Future Quest through Think College.  This would be a great option for our middle school teachers.

I have been fortunate to be a part of Pepnet 2 which was a federally funded program for Deaf Post Secondary Education Programming across the country.  I have had a lot of Prof. Dev. through them.  This program has just been awarded to a different university, so we are waiting to see what direction they will take this organization.

I also would like to explore more post secondary options for students who are not intellectually disabled, but don't have the academic skills to matriculate in college.  There are not many options for these students.

Doing a variety of assessments gives us a more rounded view of the student's strengths, interests, skills. Assessments I have used so far: PCP 5 Bold Steps *Vision for the Future *CareerScope *Visual Transition Rating Scale* Transition Planning Inventory 2 Pre-ACT *ACT LCE (Life Centered Education) * Pictorial Interest Inventory ARC Self-Determination *RU Ready Positive Personal Profile MA Work Based Learning Plan *Career Cluster Inventory (MCIS) *These are the assessments I use most often. We really choose assessments based on where the student is at that particular time. For example at age 14, we may focus on interests.
