Can totally relate to such experience. What works for me is That I have learnt through experience of such disconnections I have had, is that I consciously and with effort remind myself as to how my state of mind is further going to affect the session, my performance , as well as participants' learnings. And it is just not worth putting all that at stake. I have observed my mentor facilitators taking a lead whenever boundaries are crossed or consent is broken, but first allowing the group to handle it on their own.
