Calvin Richard Klein, mostly known as Calvin Klein, is a famous American fashion designer. He is

talented and noticed for his elegant designs of underwear for women and men. He was born on November, 19,

1943 in the Bronx, New York. He started his company in 1968 and from then on it just thrived.

Calvin is from a Jewish family. He started to learn how to sew and draw his croquis very young, in his

adolescence he drew clothes for his sister’s dolls and then started making dresses for his mother, using his

grandmother's sewing machine. He studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology and graduated in 1962.

The fashion designer started working as an apprentice for a coat-and-suit manufacturer and in 1968 he

opened his own company with simple and understated clothing, taking the opposite direction of Hippie

moves.

Calvin Klein's company is one of the most famous within the underwear and perfumery segment

nowadays. Expanding his collections for clothes and cosmetics for more than one hundred countries, without

leaving aside the aesthetics and elegance principles of its creation. In Brazil, Calvin Klein has the Calvin

Klein Jeans, Underwear and Clavin Klein divisions, which incorporates the PVH Corporation brand team.
