Operational - students use their knowledge of friends of ten to work out how many butterflies 'fly away' and how many 'remain' Butterflies are inside a ten frame. Many of these games are similar to DENS activities to reinforce knowledge of base ten.Some instructions may be confusing to students and may require teacher assistance/intervention.
