It is hard for them to see the link between imagery and images. They are also unable to transfer the skills from one text to another. They also face issues when talking about effects of these devices.

1. I want to teach sound devices and imagery.
2. The challenges with teaching sound devices is that the effect / outcome / intention of sound devices tend to be abstract and difficult (even for the teacher!) to explain or link to overall meaning. As for imagery, trying to get students to specify + correctly identify is something I struggle with.
