I found the theme make the right decision. The wrong decision might be the right decision, and the right decision might be the wrong decision. You have to choose carefully. Kino thought that keeping the pearl and selling it was the right decision, but it turned out to be the wrong decision. The wrong decision caused Coyotito's death If Kino took the actual right decision which was to get rid of the pearl Coyotito wouldn't have died. Kino really should've listened to his wife Juana. Kino learned from his decision. His wrong decision was greed. His greed resulted other people to have greed for the pearl.
