Prior to COVID-19 there was clear distinction on reality as offline and online as extensions of selves. But lockdown experiences and staying connected while in isolation has forced us to rethink these dichotomies. I'm thinking of a session that invites and takes seriously about what might have changed (if at all) in our understanding of scholarship, research, writing, and activism in a time of "permanent" online connection.

I don't know if anyone knows of a platform called Perusall (https://perusall.com). One of the features on Perusall is the ability to annotate and comment collectively on texts, blogs, and videos (and probably much more). I think that it might be an idea to have some interactive virtual commentary sessions. Some short presentations might be uploaded on Perusall, and presenters can have live interactions. The presenter has the opportunity to take part answering questions while watching the videos. I'm sure there can be other creative activities on the platform. Perusall can be in sync with Canvas. If you connect to Perusall via Canvas it can links of the activities. Also, Perusall is a great method for the SSRC MMUF to collect data on the attendants activities - such as how long they spend watching videos posted or the most popular comments and questions.
