The theme for this week is animals. To further help their learning on this week's theme, the class is going on a school trip to explore the Zoo. They will learn how animal sounds, the way it feels and how it looks. At the end of the field trip, the students will have to do a sharing of what they saw and the teachers are to prompt questions. They will have to pen down the students thoughts on a big piece of paper and show it to the class. The children will work together in groups and craft up an animal they saw.

Guess what principle am I?

Haraldine - A
Ilaisya - T
fariana -C
Umairah - A
syarifah - A

The educator brings the children to a garden. The educator asks the children what kind of fruits and vegetables they have seen before. He shares facts that a plant has roots, stem, leaves and the bud. He uses the real plants to label the parts and explains the functions of each parts of the plant. The educator asks, “Where does the plant absorb water from?” one of his students’ answers “teacher, the plant absorbs water from the ground!” the educator says it is correct and explains about how the roots absorb water from the soil(ground) and how it brings up to the different parts of the plant.

One student asks, “how the plants get food?” the educator says “Good question. Well, the plants around us create oxygen for us to breathe. This process is called “photosynthesis” and the educator explains further

The educator brings the class back to the classroom and asks his class “class, what have you learnt from the garden outing?” Each of his students were given a chance to express their opinions. One child says “I learnt that plants gives us oxygen to help us breathe”

The educator continues by doing an experiment of growing a beansprout. He provides green beans, wet cotton wool and a cup. He explains to the children “Children let’s try to do this experiment together. I want you to put 1 piece of the wet cotton wool into the container. After that, put 1 green bean into your container and put it near the window.” The teacher asks, “children why, do you think we need to put the green bean near the window?’’ A child raises his hand and says, “So that the plant gets sunlight, just like the plants we see at the garden.”

guess which principle am I?
A (ilaisya)
T (wong)
T (fariana)
C - Haraldine
C (Umai)

Scenario:

The theme for the day is body parts. The teacher started conducting the lesson by taking out a picture chart showing the human body parts. The teacher asks the children “what do you see?” The children reply, “It is a body!” One of the children says, “why is the rest of the body all over the place?” The purpose of this activity is that the teacher wants the students to know which part of the body each body part belongs to. The teacher started showing each body part to the children and make them guess where it belongs. After they are done the teacher challenged them by asking, “what is the arms used for?” One of the children says, “We use our arms to draw and eat!” The teacher than asks, “what is the legs used for?” One of the children says, “we use our leg to walk and run around!” The teacher continued asking about the rest part of the body teaching the children the functions of each body part and making them recognise their body parts. The children are asked to draw and colour their favourite animal. After they are done, they must present and explain about their favourite animal by acting out using their body. The children listening are required to ask questions after the child that is presenting finished their presentation. After one of the child have finish presenting about his favourite animal which is a cat, the teacher asks, “How do you spell the name of the animal?” The child says, “The animal I describe is spelled as C-A-T.” The teacher asks, “so, class how do you pronounce it?” The children says, “It’s a cat!” The other children also continued presenting and the children listening also kept asking questions.

Guess which principle am i?

- H (fariana)
- H (Haraldine)
- H (wong)
- H (Umai)
- H (Syarifah)
