Cars could be assembled quicker and cheaper than ever before during a time when more and more people were able to afford cars. Credit allowed people to take money from the bank and pay it back over time meaning    people could make larger purchases. This greatly helped boost consumerism in America, and in turn helped to boost the economy. All of this came crashing down when the stock market crashed a few years later, something that the introduction of credit actually worsened. The rebirth of the KKK came at a time when the black middle class was starting to become more prominent and black Americans were becoming more successful. The government pushed lots of propaganda about communism and turned communism into something that it is not instead of educating citizens on what communism really meant. This shows intolerance because it shows how ignorant the government is.
