         <title>The Stamp Act</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Stamp Act was passed on March 22, 1765 and it put a tax on things like deeds, newspapers, pamphlets, stamps, and playing cards. This forced colonists to buy a british stamp for every document they obtained and the british did this because they were in debt and they needed to pay off the money they used to feed their troops who were fighting in war.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Boston Massacre happened on March 5, 1770 on King street in Boston when the colonists were protesting the british soldiers to the point where the british soldiers were shooting at the colonists. Then a artist painted a picture of what happened which led to people being very upset with the british and they started to revolt against the british.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Sugar Act happened on April 5, 1764 and it was enacted because the colonists were mad about how the british were taxing things like sugar and molasses that they use to bake with mostly every day.  The Sugar act helped lower the tax rate from 6% to 3% per gallon.</div>]]></description>
