- educators need to pay attention to the types of accommodations that are in place for students in Special Education

- Special Education accommodations mainly focus on assessments, but they need to also be in place all throughout academic areas and in the classroom.

- there is an inconsistency in delivering the accommodations because of the lack of experience and training.

- in order to be beneficial, the accommodations need to be used regularalry.

- be careful though, because some accommodations can have negative effects, for example, if their tests and assignments are always read out loud to them, they may not have motivation to learn how to read.

- educators are only required a standard teaching credential without any focus on EL education to be able to teach. As a result, many of these teachers do not feel prepared enough to help EL students.

-Collaboration and communication between parents, educators and specialists is key in helping the student. Everyone has their own specific knowledge to help benefit the student.

-the instructional material should be plentiful and with a wide variety. Students should have the option to explore and find what interests and works for them. In turn, educators and parents can create a specialized learning program that will best accommodate this child.

-EL learn by seeing and hearing. Allowing participation and incorporating them in classroom discussions will greatly increase not only the child’s morality but also their speed at which they learn through BICS and CALP.
