What we are allowed to teach within ITT is increasingly regulated by OFSTED, the Teachers' Standards, the Core Curriculum Framework and the requirements of the ITT accreditation process. There are now also moves, it would seem, for compliance to be expanded to encompass our research as well as our teaching. Perhaps we need CPD in relation to how we might maintain a level of professional integrity and autonomy within such an all-embracing regulatory environment? Will there still be room for a P in CPD? If so, how?
