This can go a long way beyond the classroom. Students can use these skills in society. Assistive technology improves the lives of persons with disabilities and utilizing it can increase student’s self- management skills and augments their individual strengths.

Teachers can learn how the assistive technology works and help students become more fluent in the use of the assistive technology making it easier for the student to learn to their best ability.

I believe this also increases a student's motivation and confidence because they are now able to do things they weren't before.
