My refleciton:

Some experiences I share with the character in my book are that we had to be a little on our own and my family was no the wealthiest and we had to live of a little food at times. Also we share that we take care of one and another lieaas a family. What i learned about the character were that they had a a lot worse then my family but they have high spirtis. Somehthing that they have that i havnet experienced is moving around a lot and leaving a lot of stuff behing but they still try and be positive abou things even when they are at there lowest.

Social Class
The social class was presented in the book so far on by how they live. It shows and the book has made it seem like they are poor and that they move around a lot due to no being able ot pay the rent. They also get "gifted" a star form there dad. She had never had gum intill she was gaven it in the hospital.

When she was little she had to be very independant and had to deal and do a lot of the stuff she needed by her self. For example when she says to a doctor when she was 3 " i got the cuts and bruises playign outside and the burns from cooking hot dogs". This is when she was talking to the doctor and the doctor asked how she gets hurt.

The rhetorical stratgeies enhance the story becasue it adds more to the story and it makes me more engaged and makes my feel more to the story and makes it better overall by just makeing us the readers feel liek we are in the book.
I dont really see a realationship from right now other than when she was little she had to be in a way independant and she has to do stuff on her own espeacailly becasue her famliy is poor.
Some tones that are created are when the dad goes to "save" the duaghter from the hostpital. Or when they have to move in the middle of the night and they have to leave most of there stuff behind. Like when jeannette had to leave her doll behind.

When you go back to reread it you notice aand realize new things and things that you understand, you make more sence of the book or the part you read.
1. REader in different time periods or ages do interperit different. For example a reader of teh age of 8 and a reader of the age 19 read the same book, thye read the part of when they are moving a lot becasue they cant afford it or maybe even about the green latern. The kid that is of age of 8 want really understand what is happening.
  1. I feel like the intended audience or those from the "lower class'' Or just the people that are not as wealthy. In a similar way i can relate to how they are bc one piont of my life my family was having like finacial problems and we couldnt really do anything fun or exciting.

IN the book Rex and his wife get into a heated arguement about rex not having a job and how he drinks so much. The kids try not to pay attenition to them until they here there mom screaming. She screams " Help .... Hes trying to kill me" they see her hanging of the second floor window and they kids were in shock and scared for there moms life. That quote stood out to me becasue my parents used to argue a lot it never went that far where it got physical but i reminds me when I was younger.

Eduacation

They were faced with being bullied in school and jeneatte had gotten beaten up by these three girls after school. They are also faced with theyre dad not having a job and there mom having to get a job as a teacher. Thh mom isnt so happy wiht her job and she gets a lot of help and she had jeneatte older sister to all the leason plans for her.

Some experience I share with jeneatte is that our parents would get in a lot of arguments. My parents would get as bad as jeneattes but they would still argue a lot of the times. In a way our family had a little bit more money we werent has poor as them and we wouldnt have people like sneaking into our house at night. And ive learned that jeneatte has gotten molested and me personaly have never been and I feel sad and I wonder how she can cope with that.

Econimic conditions determine how my character lives becuasethey have to adapted to on how they live. They have to figure thinks out on there own especailly when they dont have family or friends around. They have to stuggle to learn sometimes.

In the book Rex has a addiction to alcohol and he gets voilent at times and sometimes he doesnt come home when jeneatte waits for him. Oe day Jeneatte ask him " Do you think you could maybe stop drinking". Silieced pasted as Rex didnt sya anything at first and jeneatte quickly thiink she ahd made a mistake. I chose this quote becasue when I was younger I feel like my dad had a bit of a problem not like rex but I believe he did, gladly he has stopped wiht it and now barley if not doesnt.

Health:

This issue is a crucial part of life. Jenneatte and there family have moved to Weltch and it is a gross and bad and not well taken care of place. There is an open sewer running across the town and the air is filled with coal dust that can damage peoples lungs and especaily the younger ones.

A thing i can relate wiht my characters are the living situation. I didnt live in a bad place but I lived with a lot of people in one house that only had one bathroom so in a way its was like how Jeneatte was living with her grandma. BUt whats differetn was how they young kids would get abused they are constinly getting hit by there grandma and how they live with her. What i learned about my charecter was about Brian adn how he ws molested has a kid by his own grandma. I woulnder how he lifves witht hat and how he copes with that and how he got over it growing up.

Some forces that motivate my character are to being in a better place being in a better living envirment and a better home, like they say "the glass castle" thats what motivates my charecter and that whats keeps them going. For example Brian and jeneatte were digging a whole so they can start the foundation of the "glass castle" but they didnt use the whole for that they used the whole as a trash pit.

Erma was a mean old rude grandma. Jeanette and her sibiling did not like her. She was mean to them and didnt really take care of them when they needed to. She would abuse her. So for them Erma's death was a day to celebrate, not really but they werent so sad when she passed. We know this when there mom does this " she also tried to make us kiss Erma's corpse. We flat out refused." (Walls 180) This shows us they did not care about Erma and her death. They didnt care and they didnt show any emotion or remourse for her.

SOme experience I share wiht my character are that our moms had to get a job so we could have more stable income. In the book I personally have not expeirce a familys death liek thiers to the piont were i didnt care about them. Also about their living situation and how it getting worse adn Ive never experience that and I hope I dont.

Why do people share their stories? You might ask yourself, well there are many reasons one might share their life stories and that is simply to share and show people that they gone through some stuff and people might relate to them. People write about their past experiences so people could maybe learn from them or maybe to just be aware that there is and are people like that living it in todays world, like right now. Some people might feel alone and might feel like they have it worse, these authors share their stories so people know that they are not alone and that they can make it out of it too. Those those people could learn from these experiences and they could take something out of it and maybe change there lives they live.
