Wonderful talk. Actually this is something really easy to understand and really hard to actually achieve. Building grit and being gritty can be very difficult. I think the majority of those who succeed in any field in our society today are gritty people. When it comes to success, we often pay a lot of attention, maybe way too much to talent and gift. However we often neglect the power of commitment and perseverance. I can't agree more with the speaker, we need to be grittier and let the time be the testament. Furthermore, It is interesting perspective that grit is the most important thing to achieve one's dream. Grit is passion and perseverance for very long-term goals like marathon. Many time I was frustrated that I don't have talent at my major. But I tried to be gritty and sticked with it for a week. Finally, I could accomplish assignment which was deemed as impossible for me. That was the time I realized the power of grit.
As I grow older and older, there will be many obstacles and I know it might be higher and higher. But, I will never give up because I know the power of grit.

This video seems to be useful for everyone. Grit is the quality that enables individuals to work hard and stick to their long-term passions and goals. It makes sense that this would be important for students, both in school and in life. It is important for students to understand and it is okay to feel confused when learning something new. I think this talk could help people who don’t really associate with school and not participating so that they can focus on having a better future.

A substantial talk indeed. I was quite unfamilliar with the term "grit" in the beginning. However, the execution of the speech which elaborated the functions of grit was an eye-opener. In a cliche, it is undeniable that perseverance far outweighs talent and skill-sets in the race to success.

As I watched the video , I managed to understand the meaning of grit. Grit is our key to achieve our goals. It's important to make us feel more inspired to work hard to make our visions and missions come true. In order to create a good grits as to achieve our objectives in life, we must have a proper growth mindset which goes through several processes of testing out our best ideas and identifying whether it works or not. Most importantly, we must be ready to fail and passionate to start over again in achieving our goals. In short, everyone does have grit in themselves and it is not easily to be identified, including by the talent of an individual. It depends on an individual to make sure that they want or not to make their objectives reality.

It is an inspire speech for everyone. This is the first time I have heard about meaning of grit. I think every individual need to understand about what is grit. Grit is not a spirit. Grit is a power inside us to achieve our goals in our life. Building grit in kids it can't be do by someone. it came by own that's called growth mindset. Building grit in us can change by our affort. So that's why we need to be gritty and accept the challenges in our life.

What I'm curious about your thoughts on how this concept of grit and growth mindset could be applied to successfull organizations and not only individuals. While reading literature about modern and agile organizations, I see a high correlation of this concepts of this talk to learning organizations and also value driven organizations ( following long - term goals) and not just short - term profit oriented companies.

They did not know what to achieve. Those who succeed in history like Thomas Edison and Leonardo Da Vinci, they have achieved by grit. We cannot build grit on people unless they want to.

To me it is very inspiring. To be honest, I have not heard the word 'grit' even once, but through her way of explanation I can quite understand the concept of grit. Us as human have unlimited potential and I do believe that there's a reason you fail in something (even life in general), that is to fix what is wrong and potentially 'upgrade' it. Being gritty definitely can be useful in life as you will be needing that kind of attitude to face challenges in life.
