Pe onies are the flower of spring, also known as the "queen of flowers." The flowers symbolize fame and wealth. Red peonies are the most desired and valuable, while white peonies symbolize young, witty, beautiful girls.

I started with the hope that I could influence women still today in the pursuit of beauty by harming their bodies. As I researched step by step, I kept developing my project and looking for more perspectives. The purpose and perception of beauty have changed for women in different times. 
Historically women were influenced by a patriarchal society had to cater to the social trend of deformed or even abnormal aesthetics and change the shape of their bodies in painful ways.
Such as corset, foot-binding and circumcision. (Many things have changed over the years. For example, corset made of metal, which began to appear in the 16th century, were cast off by the women's liberation movement of the 20th century. Sometimes corsets are still show in fashion design. But the material and function have changed, more like a decoration. There are similar products like back support and shapewear ……)This means that the era of women's liberation has come.

To this day, women have been freed from the shackles of bad habits but still do not stop seeking beauty. Still changing the shape of their bodies to become beautiful, the pursuit of beauty is impossible to change.
 However, I want to express People don't have to hurt their bodies in order to pursue general aesthetic. Everyone has their unique shape.And if more and more people continue to change their body according to the popular aesthetic, what is the difference between that and a mechanised, mass-produced products. Because of geographical proximity, in Asia, Chinese, Japanese and Korean aesthetics tend to be similar. With the popularity of facial plastic surgery and the unification of popular aesthetics, many girls are changing their appearance according to a similar template.（movie star） Lost the appearance of uniqueness.
