Closeness— literally is something regarding the distance between at least two objects or people. In the book, the author mentioned that the coordination between two pieces of instruments played by two performers. One example in the book is that two vocals coordinated and blended together seemed like they couldn't separate even they did not need the rhythm. The Cuban singer Pedro Luis Ferrer, who always coordinated and sang with his own daughter, Lena Ferrer, and their voices seemed united while they were singing. They had the same- time- breathing while they were singing and based on not restricted for each other. As sometimes the song led the melody by his daughter and Pedro just a little part, but they always together and seemed like inseparable thus the closeness between the notes which they sang was typically and harmonically. Outside the book, from my opinion, that there is one song that can embody the closeness and even just like the coordination of Pedro and his daughter personally. The Civil Wars, an American band which consisted of one male and one female singer. Their songs are almost sang together and coordinated just like Pedro and his daughter. One of the song "20 years" is a great example for showing the closeness towards the vocals and the notes.
