It may seem tedious to take regular trips back to the audiologist, but it is necessary to follow the recommendations for hearing aid check-ups! At these appointments, the audiologist cleans and inspects the hearing aids and is able to measure how they are working in the child's ears. They may also do hearing tests with and without the hearing aids, in order to measure how they are helping. This testing can also help us to determine if the hearing loss is progressive, or getting worse, which can be more common in children.
