The Andean condor is hunted illegally by poachers. Its feathers and bones are sold in black markets for rituals and souvenirs. In addition, these birds are poisoned by farmers who consider them a threat. No effective protection is provided by authorities in many remote areas.

If the hunting is not stopped, the Andean condor will disappear forever. If we do not take action on this issue, the condor will become extinct and we will lose a valuable Andean treasure. If we implement stricter laws and education, the condor will be saved. Let’s act today so the symbol of our Andes isn’t just a memory

When I was a child, my family used to travel to the border of Bolivia and Desaguadero for our holidays. We didn’t have to pay for transportation or hotel reservations because we used to go in our own truck and used to stay at my aunt’s house. It was always a simple and joyful time.

Now, in the present, I don’t go on vacation because I have to focus on my studies at SENATI; I’m in my last semester. However, if I have the opportunity in the future, I will definitely travel again. I would like to visit Iquique, Chile, and I will have to cover all my own expenses—like transportation, accommodation, and places to visit. I must save money for that trip, but it will be worth it.

I hope to make those plans a reality soon after graduating from SENATI! Thanks for reading about my holiday memories and dreams.
