Life is in different stages. Every stage of life the foundation for the next stage of life. Every stage of life must be fully-lived.

Growing up with a conservative family, I live a comfortable life even though my parents didn't have blue-collar jobs. My mom was a housewife then, and my father was a personal driver of several senators until his last employer, the prominent attorney in Cebu late Atty. Noel Archival, which lead to his demise - our loss. Evil has its hours indeed, and I don't know precisely how long those hours would last. But, justice, though excruciatingly delayed, will one day finally have its day.

Losing the sole breadwinner of our family had led to financial problems and resulted in my mother working for the family despite her age. We left the comfortable life we used to enjoy because my father provided us well.

His loss, embarked the thought that "I wish I had done everything on Earth with you." I wish he was with us as we celebrate success in life and guide us through our failures.

Nevertheless, we carried on with our lives, though a part of us is still missing every now and then. My mom was firmer in her rearing towards us - me and my younger sister. She counseled both me and my sister but eventually, allowed me to decide for myself of which paths to take, which lessons to learn by. My parents' principles helped me develop a confident spirit and to carry on the challenges in life. They were my daily reminder that I should keep on going.

There are things that we do in life that bring satisfaction and immense happiness. On my end, I enjoy painting and trying our different calligraphy styles. Those hobbies have paved the way for me to creatively share my emotions and my avenue to express the thoughts lingering in my mind. I also love trying out different cuisines since I love to see my mom cooking when we were younger. Reading books is also one of my hobbies because I tend to find solace in words. Those hobbies are integral to my happiness and a break free from my stressful days from school and work.

As I venture to be an adolescent, I had this mindset that your relationship with yourself defines your relationship with every other person you encounter. Being a Catholic, also reminded me to become compassionate, let nothing disturb us and let nothing frighten us, to be patient in obtaining our goals and success in life.

Speaking of success in life, I consider graduating with flying colors to both of my elementary and senior high school years as one of the successes I need to cheer for and celebrate. I graduated from Talamban Elementary School and Talamban National High School, respectively. I was part of the Special Science Class program of Dep-Ed from Grades 1-10. Then during my two years in senior high school, I took up Humanities and Social Sciences. Now, I am taking up a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science at Cebu Normal University. Though it's not my top choice course, passing and receiving a DOST Scholarship made me realize that I need to be practical with my choices. Currently, I'm happy with the decisions I've made, and I may always be mindful of the goals I have set through in my life.
