I had a teacher that loved my sister, and hated me. He was a bully, he wouldn't let me leave the room if needed, and he mocked the fact that I missed school because I had to have my rabbit put to sleep.

I had a teacher that saw my potential, and saw when I needed help. He listened if I needed to talk. We actually still talk on Facebook, and he came to my dads funeral.

I knew I wanted to work with kids since kindergarten. I wanted to be a pediatrician, but in high school I developed a queasiness for blood and needles and knew that was out the door. So in 11th grade I signed up for a pre-school class at the local vocational school and found my love for teaching. Or dare I say, teaching found me <3

Brandi, I too share your queasiness for blood though I found out through the rout of the police academy. When it comes to teaching; I think it had found me long before I left high school, I simply did not realize it until just recently. My inspiration to teach came from a mixture of my love for writing and imagination, and the youth group I worked in for several years. I have a video and picture of the kids who've inspired me on my own page, should you wish to see them.

I had a disagreement with one of my classmates because he was doing something that in my culture was disrespectful. My teacher asked me why I was upset at him and I told my teacher that what my classmates was doing was disrespectful in my culture and my teacher said to me "What culture?" and even though I was just 10 years old I was so angry that he would ever say that. That really showed me the type of teacher I should not be.
