As of right now, Guy Montag represent something in between both knowledge and ignorance. We see this clearly since at the beginning of the story when Clarisse McClellan tells him about "theories" of the past where even the simplist of things were different. Even now where he still knows nothing about reality he is starting to make these realizations and become aware of the life he is living.

Are they a static or dynamic character?
Montag is very clearly a dynamic character as he has experienced such significant change to his thoughts and actions just throughout this first Part. This comes as Montag becomes more knowledgeable about society and its major flaws. For example, following a conversation with Clarisse about love and burning down an old woman's house, Montag was feeling very upset and his wife did not comfort him. This allowed Montag to realize that he did not love his wife at all and would not care if she passed away. This shows clear change as at the beginning of the book he believed he was in love but now he struggles to believe this. Another example comes through his feelings about his job. At the beginning of the book, Montag didn't think much about his book burnings and believed it was a "pleasure to burn" but after conversations with Clarisse that helped him learn to think, he realizes that books are people's life work and may even be beneficial. Thus, when kerosene makes him vomit, it shows his opinion has completely changed about being a fireman.

Guy Montag is a firefighter who was as normal as normal could be but after meeting clarisse she changed his point of view on everything and made him question himself and his morals. Now he could be described as very emotional person who is passionate about what he is speaking about. He feels like he is in the middle of a fight that is way bigger than him. Different than everyone else around him and really connects to people and things that are happening around him. Montag would definitely be described as a dynamic character his personality is constantly changing and evolving. As the story is continuing he is becoming more ignorant but before he was kind of in between now more knowledge now as the story is progressing he is changing.

Another example comes through her use of TVs. He's changed in ways like questioning things around him, and trying to find the reasoning behind them, like why they burn books. A major part of this change is because he met Clarisse, who showed him different perspectives.

Even though she isn't seen actively reading. she demonstrates her knowledge by thinking in depth about almost everything that people don't seem to spare a glance to. She knows what to say to get people questioning everything they know, especially with her strong personality. She tries to intimately analyze whatever has caught her focus, and by sharing her revelations with Guy, she spreads knowledge in the way that interests him even if the subject itself isn't exactly riveting. For instance, she shares her opinions on simple aspects of life like rain, history and dandelions. All of her notions make Guy stop and ponder.

Personallity traits:
The personallity of Captain Beatty is that of someone with a close yet old and long lived mind. Beatty is one of the originals during this period of time, who has grown to see this lifestyle for a long time, which results in him not nessesscarily wanting to change it. An example of Beatty's close-mindedness is his conversation with Guy Montag, in which he explicitly backs the society that they are currently living under by saying that essentially books and radio closed our minds and stopped us from talking and interacting like people had done before. In summation, Captain Beatty is a more deep and unfinished, along with close-minded character with much knowledge of older times.

dynamic character:
Faber in the beginning of the book is aware of the ignorance in society but is too scared of the corrupt government to keep the books he had and got rid of if not burned the books he owned, he never became ignorant but he stayed low and didn't talk to many about how he viewed society. When he was called by Montag and met with him he showed a bit of braveness but still held back in being fully involved when helping Montag keep his books a secret. He showed how intelligent he was when he gave Montag his invention which allowed them to speak to each other no matter the distance. Later in the book when Montag ran to his house on the run from the police faber acted bravely and selflessly by helping Montag and even saying he would buy him some time so he could run which meant risking his life and house.
