This exercise is done by jumping as high and as fast as possible while keeping your knees over your toes.

I realized that during the years in my badminton CCA, I have actually done many of the ladder agility drills shown in the video, and with a variation in difficulty levels.

I also used to do shuttle runs in primary school competitively, which incorporates both speed and agility components as we needed to stop and turn as close to the cone as possible to save time.

Dodgeball was also an activity that I loved playing since primary school. Aside from throwing the ball at opponents, this sport also increases our agility and balance when it comes to dodging of balls

I also do rope jumping as it helps in both agility and as a cardiovascular activity.

Although shuttlerun and Dodgeball cannot be incorporated into my workout routine at home, I can use rope jumping and agility ladder instead. I may also add workouts like side lunges or split squat jumps, where available!

One stressful situation I encountered was due to RP’s need for submission even though we are on MC. Last year I was very ill and ended up hospitalised but that meant I had to skip the lesson and the quiz taken in class. I was still asked to submit RJ except it was content based. This stressed me out as I would always want to put 100% in my work and since my body was so weak, I could not produce the quality work I wanted to. Furthermore, missing class meant that I had to come the next lesson for a quiz that was made much harder than the first quiz which was not something I understood as I did not managed to attend lesson and hence obviously I could not do the quiz well. However I managed to calm myself down and do what I could without pushing myself too much and I also kept telling myself that as long as this was the best I could do or submit, it is more than good enough.

In order for me to submit before the deadline on time, I used reminders and notes on my phone to alert me and keep me on track to when I should start tackling each of the projects once at a time. I would also do a to-do-list on my notes as to what is the requirements needed for the project to be completed beforehand. With these useful tools, I was able to complete all of my projects before the deadline with time to spare for me to check my work thoroughly again before submission.

A stressful encounter would be during my O level examinations. I took the Secondary 5 path to obtain my O level certificate. I was more stressed than my N levels because O levels are much harder. I took both Math and Science tuitions to help me in my learning. At times, I would overthink about not being able to pass my O's and move on to polytechnic. I would ask my friends to study with me so that I would have motivation to do so. I've had multiple breakdowns due to my studies, overthinking that I could not pass. I would ask a lot of questions to my teachers, including my tutors, ensuring that I understand everything that was taught. During the weekends, I would take some time to spend time with my family or friends to take my mind off studying. It helps me to clear my mind for a day. Now that I'm in polytechnic, I am glad that the phase is over.

A stressful situation that I have, and currently am going through right now is regarding my FYP work. I am stressed because my FYP report submission deadline is approaching and I still have things in the report that I have not completed. Thus, this caused me to feel some form of stress, and anxiety of the fear of not completing and doing my FYP report well to the best of my ability. Thus, I reacted to it by burning midnight oil almost everyday, as I strive to do my best and have the report completed ASAP so my Primary Investigator can help vet my report. It is stressful but I will get over it.

A stressful situation I encountered was having multiple tests in a week. I didn't know which test subject I should start revision on first. So, I listed down the test dates along with the topics of each subject that are being tested. I eliminated the test topics which I didn't need much revision for, and wrote down the ones that needed more revision. I started on the ones that needed more time to revise on first, along with the dates on which test is coming up first. With these, I managed to complete my revision on time for my tests and felt that my revision was complete with the help of the to-do list created.

A stressful situation that I have encountered was towards the end of y2 s2. I had alot of assignments and quizzes that I had trouble difficulty managing all of them at the same time. I also had to program a VR game as one of the assignments on top of that, I had problems in real life. How I managed evrything was that I managed my time wisely and segregate which assignments are in due. I completed them 1 at a time and also we had a session where me and my friends were chionging all of the assignments and whenevr I had problems i would go to them for help and the end results was that I got the grades that I wanted. :)

When I was doing my N Levels, it was a very stressful time for me because I knew I was not doing well for my tests. I tried going for remedial and consultations but it just could not work. One day, I met up with some friends and I saw them studying. I decided to try and join them and realised that I learnt better in a group setting with my friends. My friends were kind enough to help me and taught me Math and Chemistry everyday until I got the hang of it. I can say that this really helped because in the end, I obtained A2 for both Math and Chemistry.

One stressful situation that I've encountered was during O levels. Because my grades have never been that good, a few weeks before the examination, I became extremely stressed due to spending countless sleepless nights revising the topics tested for every subject. Unfortunately, I fell sick a few days before the first examination. I then decided that I should prioritize health over grades and comfort myself even if I do not meet my expectations. Luckily I recovered a day before the examination and although I did not do as well as I expect, I did not stress myself over it and just embraced the outcome.

One stressful situation I had actually was quite recent. This happened 2 semesters ago, and it was during my ESE period. Due to covid-19, all my ESE became Graded Assignments and were no longer papers. This meant I had 4 Simultaneous Graded Assignments I had to complete. This was especially hard as I had and electronics module, Mechanical Module etc. This meant that I had to properly divide my time and had to remember the deadlines for all 4 assignments. This became stressful as I knew what would happen if I could not complete the assignments. It took nights and days to complete, but I was able to produce quality work on time which was relieving.

One stressful situation I have encountered was during my shooting competition. I had trained very hard for the past few months and I hoped to get into top 3 position in the competition. During the competition, a few of my shots were undesirable. The stress made it hard to focus. I knew that losing focus would make matters worse so I took a break to calm myself down. I stopped thinking in order to not feel stress and continued shooting. In the end, I got into top 5 out of 20 over competitors. Although I didn't get into top 3, I still performed pretty well.

A stressful situation that I have encountered would be when I had to study for two MSAs happening on the same day. My first reaction to it was panic because I had to cover so many topics in a few days right before the MSAs and I didn't know if I can finish revising all the topics by then. Some of my ineffective response to such stress was that I get very anxious and overwhelmed, which sometimes caused me headaches too. However, a positive stress response to this that I had was that while staying up to study the night before I was very focused and motivated to prepare as much as I can before the exam, which I finished studying for.

So i studying and revising more often and applied to poly using EAE as well and managed to get into RP and by studying and going to the extra classes after school and saturday which my form teacher was kind enough to do, I managed to overcome the stress and pass my o levels to go to poly

A stressful encounter I can recall of now is when I first had ESE in RP, after a year of having no ESE or MSA. I was not used to having that much pressure to ensure that I remembered all the information required. I remember cramming information into my head as much as possible, and even losing a few hours of sleep by staying up. After the first exam, I told myself that staying up late to study was not the right option, thus I changed the study method to a more reasonable one that does not compromise my sleep. Instead, I gave up on free time for other activities like using my phone.
