Mass Production: Mass Production and Assembly lines caused growth in industries. Most works were done by machines which increased products and reduced prices. Workers were paid more. However, their work hours decreased and goods that they bought were cheaper.

Model T and other automobiles: Ford's assembly line product the Model T. The auto industry made other industries grow and greatly increased the demand for oil. It also led to changes in society. More people moved to the suburbs and were less isolated from the benefits of the cities, due to increased reliance on cars.

Consumer goods and disposable income: Many new goods entered the market due to a rising disposable income. Companies created many new products for homes including labor-saving products. Improved technology helped raise many Americans' standard of living by saving time and labor.

Radios: Commercial radio grew rapidly in the 1920s. It helped create a national community as people across the country listened to the same music, sports, news and entertainment programs.

Mass Advertising: Manufacturers turned to advertising to attract consumers, causing another booming industry in the 1920s. The early advertising age used techniques which continue to persuade consumers today. People could easily borrow money. They could also be convinced by famous people or friends to buy products.
