There is a summary sentence on the padlet. The main message is how to use literature as a tool through which to raise awareness of environmental issues. Literature generates emotional 'affect', and thus is an essential medium to raise children's consciousness of such issues in a much deeper affective way than a science class can.A session that looked at reading journals by primary foreign language student teachers in Germany and the creation of picturebooks by student primary teachers in Spain. The former focussed on wordful texts and multimedia and touched on the student teachers necessity to be encouraged to read multimodal texts. The latter presented multimodal texts and the need for student teachers to be supported in the mediation of their co-created multimodal texts. Thank you to the speakers for sharing their work and research. many fun activites stimulate positive emotions that make learning more easy. Sometimes also negative emotions (fear, anger, sadness etc) rise. Playfulness could be helpful to process some of them and in the same time could help us to develop empathetic attitudes. Annett Kaminski: In the English as a foreign language class, how to promote the habit of reading to teachers (future effect on young learners). How woluntary reading can be implemented through READING JOURNALS. It has been very interesting to know about the examples of books chosign by students to include in the reading journals (it shows the tendencies of the books they enjoy).
