Leo, as the name suggest, represents a lion, and like lions, Leos are born to lead. They are dramatic, creative, self-confident, dominant and extremely difficult to resist, able to achieve anything they want to in any area of life they commit to. At the same time, they suffer from arrogance, self-centeredness, laziness, and inflexibility. Leo belongs to the element of fire, which makes them very warm-hearted, in love with life, trying to laugh and have a good time. Able to use their mind to solve even the most difficult problems, they will easily take initiative in resolving various complicated situations.

Salmon

The Native Americans have special animal totems tied to when a person is born. They vary depending on the hemisphere one lives. Living in the Northern Hemisphere, my birth totem is Salmon. If you have heard of the phrase "swimming upstream", then you already have an idea of how Salmon works- they want to control things even if it means changing their natural direction. Their desire is driven by passion and courage. Where others fall back, Salmon pushes forward, ready for any challenge. Despite their apparent egoism, Salmon has great love for others and a noble heart. He builds deep relationships with his peers, especially in the romantic sense.

Sekhmet

If we use decans, my Egyptian zodiac sign would be Sekhmet. Sekhmet was the Egyptian goddess of war and also of healing for Upper Egypt. She is depicted as a woman with the head of a lioness, wearing the sun above her. Sekhmet had a harsh temper, and could send plagues and slaughter many if angered. However, she could also be a great healer, curing diseases, illnesses, and plague she may or may not have caused. Those born under her sign exhibit two extremes - pure versus impure, righteous versus base, order versus chaos. They are very strict and authoritarian and set high expectations, both for themselves and others. They have quite the temper, especially if they become impatient, which happens all too often. However, they also observe everything with feline grace and beauty. They also are extremely intelligent, optimistic and intuitive.

Anubis

Using the Greek-based calendar, my Egyptian zodiac sign would then be Anubis. One of the most famous of the Egyptian gods, Anubis is the guardian of the underworld and judge of the dead. It is his task to guide souls through the realm of the dead and to give them their final judgement. This is done by weighing the soul's heart on the Scales of Justice against the feather of Ma'at. If the heart was as light as the feather, it meant the soul was a good person in life and could pass into paradise. If the heart was heavier than the feather, it meant the soul was a bad person in life. Anubis would then feed the soul to a crocodile-headed monster named Ammit. Those born under his sign are creative, clever, and compassionate. They understand the darker side of life and have a tendency to see reality at the most basic level. They understand life and death, and are afraid of neither. They are refined and appreciate the best that life has to offer. They exude confidence, determination, and self-control. They might even have a fascination with taxidermy or enjoy working in mortuaries or performing autopsies.
