In 1763 The Proclamation of 1763 was issued due to the fact that after the French and Indian war, there were accusations of French territory in North American Land. Due to this, the Proclamation led to more rebellion. With rebellion, it lead to more acts. In some ways benefiting the American colonists, for example while the colonist were in salutary neglect, law wasn't as heavy enforced and they didn't have to pay heavy taxes. Another example being that Mercantilism lead to colonists profiting more, due to the fact the countries became more dependent on trade and there was a higher demand for luxuries.

Salutary Neglect was a British policy of the 13 colonies which allowed colonist to disobey the policies of trade. There were no effective ways to enforce British restrictions from trade. This lasted from 1690 to 1760. This lead to the the Turning Point of 1763 because reveals that America did not have to abide by Great Britain's acts, and taxes. This also revealed how America smuggled and traded within their colonies. Due to this rebellion it soon led to independence. However, The Salutary Neglect was soon reversed and Great Britain needed currency due to debt. Great Britain was in debt due to the French and Indian War. Once they established the fact that they needed money they soon began acts such as Navigation acts, Stamp Act, Tea Act, Currency Act, and much more.

Mercantilism was to benefit the profit of Great Britain through trading. Colonists provided Britain with raw material while Britain imported manufactured goods. The manufactured goods had a higher value than that of the raw materials which helped Britain pay off their war debt. Britain banned trading with any other country and as a result, the colonists, stopped using any imported goods and smuggled in goods from other countries as a sign of rebellion.
