My favorite room at home is my studio. Actually, it is our dining room but we don´t normally use it, only for special occasions like Christmas. I use it for studying, painting, reading, writing, doing my homework and planning my projects. It is also a quiet place where I can relax and be apart from the TV noises. It is a normal rectangular room around 4x5 meters. An interesting feature are the sliding doors which are the only access to the room.

Decorating the room we placed several paintings made by me or my mother all related to still life or typical house elements. The furniture in this room is old since it is my grandparent´s house. I really like the big wood table but the chairs are in such bad conditions. There is also a big showcase that contains my grandmother´s beautiful tea sets. The floor is color brown with white, black and beige dots, quite a typical floor in old houses if you ask me.

If you watch outside the window you will find an aisle that leads to the backyard and my dog´s house. You can´t see much more because this room is on the first floor and the wall that divides our house from the neighbor´s blocks the view.

I spend approximately around 3 hours each day in this room doing my homework and developing my projects. The best thing about this room is that it is my own quiet space but I would really like to move many things around it and redecorate but I haven´t done that because many of the objects there are not mine and I don´t feel the freedom to move them.

This photo was taken when I went to Cancun with my family in 2018. The destination was choosen by my mother and my aunt, they always want to travel there because they love the colors of the ocean and the texture of the sand but in that occasion we were invited to a wedding. I have been to Cancun many times but we never stay at the same hotel. On this trip we travelled three: my mom, her sister and me. We got there in a 2 hour flight plus 1 hour and a half from the airport to Barceló Hotel. This hotel was a very nice place for a quick vacation because it is beautiful and is all inclusive. The only disadvantage was that we travelled in november so the temperature of the ocean was a bit cold but we still went for a dip. We only stayed for four days so we spent most of the time at the pool and at the beach. I think my aunt enjoyed the vacation the most because one day after the weeding we celebrated her birthday. I´ve been back to Cancun twice but no other vacation will compare to this one since we almost ruined the wedding.

We had to take care of the marriage certificate. We couldn´t go back to the hotel room and put it there so we took it with us to the buffet. Once we were there my mother decided to place it under the tablecloth so it wouldn´t get dirty or suffer any damage but when we finished eating we forgot about it and left. Later we recalled on it and went back to the restaurant. I didn´t even had to ask for it because a waitress found the certificate and gave it to me inmediately. We could have told the bride about the incident but we decided not to worry her. The conclusion of this experience was that we shouldn´t have placed such an important document away of sight and one of us should have gone to the hotel room to keep the certificate safe.

You can climb to the cupola and see a panoramic view of this city. Allow Florence to work its magic through your senses. Not until you visit this place will you realize how beautiful and inspiring it is. The whole city is an outdoor museum. Another stop you should make is the Mercato Centrale, a historic food market which offers Tuscany´s finest products. You can buy farm-fresh cheeses or meats as souvenirs. Regarding food, you will have plenty of delicious menu options. In Florence you can enjoy tiramisú, gelato, pizza and pasta. Get ready to fall prey to Italian cuisine. You might be entertained by many street singers and musicians as well. Florence will definitely give you a profitable experience since it is one of the most cultural cities in Europe.
