What sort of notes might students make here?

Humans are answerable for their actions on the Day of Judgement. The angels record all they do and Allah knows all. The Ummah extends to Muslims in the future so they should protect it for future humans.

Humans do not have dominion over the earth as they should be Khalifah-stewards/trustees. They should look after the world by trying to maintain the balance and harmony in the world that Allah created as this is good. As the Qur’an says: “It is He who has made you successors of the earth.”
