This song is very important to Alexander due to he nervousness involving the crafting of his telephone. He wanted everything to be perfect and when it would not work he got extremely worried. He waited for just one connection to continue on his journey. 

Hotline Bling- Drake
"I know when that hotline bling, that can only mean one thing." 
This song pertains to how when the first time he had heard his phone ring. His coworker had called him and when he heard the wonderful sound he knew that it was finally working. He was finally successful.

Hello- Adele
"Hello, it's me."
Relief took over Alexander as his coworker answered the phone with the simple word hello. He wanted so much for this call to work because it was public.

Alexander Graham Bell valued his wife's contribution in his life so very much. He felt a strong connection to her due to the fact that he had taught speech to the deaf and she was deaf as well. Therefore texting was their best way of communication. Mabel was a big supporter of his work and offered as much support as she could.
