<title>1. From our readings, we can see that Tent cities and encampments are constantly threatened by law enforcement and legislation (under pressure by NIMBYism and other forces). Organizations like the one that Cathy Crowe has been involved with or the Encampment Support Network choose to work with residents by providing them with essential needs (like water and healthcare)- and advocating for them to stay in place. They also advocate for options for housing (recognizing the systemic conditions that contribute to people considering tent cities or encampments as the best/only option). Can you see other options to supporting people who are homeless? What needs to happen for sustainable change to occur?</title>
