I was born on Ft. Belvoir, but raised in Hanover, MD, after a whole big fiasco of my mother not receiving the promised care during late in her pregnancy, practically being thrown out of her hospital care. My father actually wrote a letter to the government, asking for the proper care, and it even got featured in the local paper.

I've studied a martial art with origins from Japan for 13 years of my life. My dojo became like a second home that taught many different values and had a creed which I can recite from heart: " This became part of the culture I grew up with: values of honesty, discipline, respect, and many others. This is actually part of the reason why I like country music: the value represented in the songs line up with the ones I was taught in my dojoBelow is a link to a 5th dan (degree) black belt test, in which one must sense the negative energy of an attack and move out of the way, while their back is turned to the practitioner

Atheism-Agnositicism

I was raised Christian before beginning to question it, from a very early age. I eventually made the switch to atheism, which evolved into my own brand of thinking. I've always thought I am differently wired than a lot of people, and in the U.S. it feels like I'm in the minority in terms of religious beliefs. It hasn't really bothered me, but I wish atheism was a more accepted idea.

To be honest, I don't really care about my race: it doesn't matter to me in the slightest, but it's usually one of the things I love to joke about. My ancestors are not me, the sins of my father are not mine to bear. I am ME. I think Mr. Freeman makes a good point about it in the following video, to just stop overtly seeing people by their outward appearance, but by the content of their character. Biases will form regardless, but I believe this mentality is very close to the one I hold.

I am male...I was going to leave it at that, but I'm going to repeat the same thing about my race: I don't care that I'm male. I mean I can't squeeze my legs together, but at least I don't have to bleed monthly. All joking aside, there are a lot of men's issues that are being swept under the rug in favor of more feminist issues, like the mythical wage gap. Don't get me wrong, women have many issues to be rightfully angry about, but men are stigmatized quite frequently or, for example, are more likely to receive harsher sentences in court
