Recently Peru's prime minister ( Alberto Otarola ) resigned. Alberto tried to influence government contracts and is continuing to deny that he did so.

In Peru a tribe attacked loggers with bows and arrows because the suspected that the loggers where intruding their territory. A few weeks ago there where pictures that showed the loggers being close to the tribes area and looking for food. There where about 53 male Mashco Piro near the tribes area, there where many mothers with children in the tribe so the attacked the loggers in case of an danger.

Women in Peru wear Pollera, which are skirts that have many colors with lots of layers. These skirts are typically made of wool or cotton. Polleras have existed in Peru since colonial times. Men usually wear bombachas ( trousers ) with ponchos that are both very colorful.

There are many different celebrations in Peru such as Qeswachaka, virgen del carmen, and pisco sour day. Pisco sour day is celebrated on the first Saturday of February each year. This day honors their national drink, which is a cocktail with a blend of flavors. Virgen del carmen festival happens every year in the middle of July, in the southern part of Peru. Qeswachaka is a bridge, and the rope is woven from grass. Every June it gets rewoven during a ritual that goes on for several days.

Colca Canyon is a popular tourist spot with a really pretty landscape.
Rainbow Mountain is located southeast of Cusco, it has various colors on the wavy Mountain's that rise above flatlands.
Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is a 4-day hiking trail that runs through the Mountain's.

Colca Canyon and Mauchu Picchu are places that tourists usually visit. If I was to go to one of the three listed above, it would be Rainbow Mountain because it sounds really pretty.

I really liked learning about Peru, my favorite thing was the tourism because Colca Canyon and Rainbow Mountain look pretty. Comparing Peru to the U.S. it seems happier there and prettier, the U.S. has some fun events but I think the events in peru would be a fun experience.
