What I learned about clay was how to construct, glaze, draw, and finalize the clay mug. I LOVED the project!! What I could of done better and differently was when I used the needle tool I kept messing up when I made the design. To fix it I used black slip. What I did good in was when I made a sketch of my design. And when I started getting better at using the needle tool. I really like making clay anything, especially clay mugs.

I think slab mugs were my favorite. I used the needle tool to carve my designs but it was kind of hard because they can't make straight lines. I also used black slip which got into my mug but I fixed it using another tool, a sponge. I used a scraffital tool to make texture and also to go over the texture I made with the needle tool. One problem with the clay was that when it started out it was really wet so it was harder to stick together, but I used slip and it stuck together well enough that when I cam back the next day it was dry enough to manipulate. Overall, I think I did a wonderful job and I hope I can do art next year,

Club mugs were my favorite project! I love using clay. 3 tools that I used slip to glue my mug together and I used a toothbrush to apply it to my mug. I also used a sponge to smooth it so no one can tell where I joined the sides. After I finished that I used a needle tool to outline my zantangle design. The needle tool created some texture but the scrafeedle tool to make the sector really stand out, it also made it black and white. I messed up my mugs body at the beginning, so I just rolled it out again with the roller and went at it again. Over all I think I really under stood clay and I also liked it a lot! My favorite project!

When making my mug I used a roller to flatten out the clay to make the mug. I also used a toothbrush to apply the slip to connect the handle to the mug. The last one was a sponge to get the black slip out of the inside of the mug. I created textures by making patterns that are carved on my mug. smoothing the mug made it easier to hold without scraping myself when it was finished. A problem I had was when I was drawing my "Z" it was a little small, so I subtracted some of the designs.

When I was making my mug I had to roll out the clay, then I had to cut it into a rectangle, then use the excess clay to make c circle. After that I had tout them together using slip. then you smooth it all out with a ripped tool and a sponge. then you would have to make the handle and slip it on. then the next day toy had to do your design and then you had to carve it out. then you glaze it. then do the inside and then you fire it! then your done!

To make my mug, I used a sgraffito tool, a sponge, and a needle tool. I used the sponge to smooth out surfaces on my mug, I used the needle tool to shape out parts of my mug and sketch my design on my mug. Then, I went over my design with the sgraffito tool. I used texture by indenting the mug with the sgraffito tool. I also used texture by applying glaze which makes my mug smooth (and waterproof). 1 problem I faced when joining clay together was lining up the rectangle and circle. A solution was to use slip after I put the mug together to make it look more put together.

In process of making zentangle mugs we needed tools like the rolling pen to roll out the clay for you can construct the mug. You used also a sponge to slick the clay and its nice and clean. Another tool you can use is the needle to draw on the designs for its a entangle mug. The needle created texture, but its much liter then the craving tool which carves out the designs to make a texture and design. While joining clay your handle could fall of but if the mug itself is hard so it will join with a little slip.
