Is a car necessary?
It’s a little compact because of what some might say is a small city but it’s fast paced with wide streets therefore it usually is easy to get around. A car isn’t necessary if you live in the city but if you don’t live in the city then a car is necessary due to how long it might take to get to CSULB using a bike, skateboard, etc.
-Is there public transportation in Long Beach?
Public transportation is available with the uses of the bus and uber or any other driving apps.
- Are freshman allowed cars?
Freshman are allowed cars at the school. Every student must have a parking permit to be eligible of having their car parked on campus.

-Average GPA requirement at Cal State Long Beach is a 3.54.
-What are the high school courses required?
All requirements to graduate high school but to be a competitor of getting into CSULB, it is better to take courses that can be taken for 2 or 3 more years.
-SAT/ ACT Scores: In the SAT, for reading the minimum score is 483, for math, 501, and ACT is optional but should be taken to have a higher possibility of getting accepted and being a competitor. The average SAT score comes out to be 1060.
-Admission Procedures: Application fees are $55.
-A Personal Statement Application Essay (PSAE) is the difference between being admitted or being denied so that must be done. It is a well written essay stating your high school experience throughout classes, teachers, activities, sports, etc. If it is not well revised and well thought out, it could lead to the essay being downgraded because of what the admission staff may think when they read it. They might think that the student didn’t take the time to care for the application, revise it, think about it carefully, and so forth.
-Letter of recommendations are required.
-Deadline dates are usually towards the 2nd semester in the senior year of high school (November-December). Starting early is a great head start to fix mistakes and revise on certain aspects in the application.

From religious clubs to ukulele club to a wake-boarding club. Some clubs are sports clubs that people join if they don't want to be in a high level college season for a specific sports team but it is to just to have fun and some have competitiveness. They also have friendly competitions against other colleges. Cal State Long Beach also has a tradition for their alumni called the spirit giving which signifies the giving of time, energy, and overall betterment.
