https://padlet.com/RickHawkins/about The founder of Family Praise Center, Inc. in San Antonio, Texas, Rick Hawkins has been committed to ministry for nearly four decades. Early on in his life, Pastor Rick Hawkins received mentorship from established members of the church, including Bishop Carlton Pearson of the Higher Dimensions Evangelistic Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a youth evangelist and associate pastor, he gained experience in ministry and establishing churches. He went on to enroll in the International Bible College in 1984. He eventually founded a home church before selling most of his belongings and dedicating one year to traveling and evangelizing full-time in accordance with a mandate from God. Pastor Hawkins established the Family Praise Center in 1993. The Center drew upon his experiences and his desire to network with other powerful ministries. Men such as Bishop Gary McIntosh, Bishop Gary Oliver, Bishop Darrel Hines and other well respected ministries came through Family Praise Center. He was guided by the succinct mission “to equip the family for ministry.” By 1996, the center had relocated to San Antonio’s former Pear Apple County Fair building, and by 2006 had attracted a congregation of more than 4,000 members. Most recently, he founded Quest Church in 2019 to serve the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
