Computer Programming is the act of creating sets of instructions for the computer to process, execute, perform and display data for the user.

It involves understanding of how low level languages work and how high level languages are interpreted or compiled, so the Computer could understand what the instructions are all about. Without Computer Programming, a computer becomes useless. It has no internal logic, though it has logic gates in it. It has no self decision making process, unless of course the programmer does the code for it to process.

Computer Programming involves sets of skills in writing codes, which are commonly known as Source Codes. A program can be written in different Computer Languages such as the Assembly Language, C, C++, C#, Java, Python, and others.

These Programming Languages are readable to humans, to us, (though hard to understand by most people) they are readable specially to programmers. But on the other hand, these Programming languages are unknown to the computer system, unless of course be translated or compiled or interpreted into machine code. The Machine Code is composed of 1's and 0's, which are basically the ON and OFF of each single, tiny circuitry inside the computer which runs through billions of transistors simultaneously.

Without a doubt, a Computer Program is the very soul of the Computer Hardware, the so-called "Software" that enables the Computer's physical part to perform what is instructed.

The modern computer has multi-billions and more calculations per minute or even seconds. Billions of instructions enters the Processor of the Computer which outputs billions of executions per minute (or per second).

Let's take ourselves for an example: We are using the internet, editing some files here on padlet, while watching other students' video on flipgrid, then writing an essay on a word processing software like MS Word, while our Facebook app is open, messages popping in. We might thought these are the only things the computer is doing. But no, there are a lot of things happening behind our screens. There's the operating system (OS kernel) working, the antivirus program working, the auto updater (for all apps installed), the event handlers, the scripts running behind and so others. These are made through computer programming. Without computer programming, the computer systems will be useless. But because there is Computer Programming, we can basically do a lot of things including Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and more.

Through Computer programming we can automate everything, including making coffee, robots, self driving cars, automatic machines, web servers, databases and more.

There are much more to say about the subject but I believe this section of the Padlet is not sufficient to write almost everything down about it.

I can say, the Computer Hardware is the physical body, while the program or the software is its very soul. Without the Program, the computer will die.

Due to the changing times, humans did not anticipate how technology would quickly catch up with us. There has been a rise of the need for computer programmers in the market as technology advances throughout the years.

Because of this profession, non- programmers/ users are able to enjoy technology and they are able to utilize it by themselves. Computer programmers not only develop computers but also the systems, software and even machines which contributes to modern technology.

Technology is literally everywhere, it can be at home or even at school. Thanks to computer programmers, technology is easier to understand and more ergonomic compared to the past times.
