I'm feeling excited and a little overwhelmed about this first assignment, however i have a very good idea of what i want to do and create for it and the message id like to discus. how ever executing this may be difficult but i think it is possible to do so, but ill have too plan it very carefully and be sure it will work.

my message appeals to people who are in the age group of 25-30 as it appeals to a wide range of people. it especially appeals to people who love music of all genres and love participating in musical events and groups. it is aimed at people who are political and the aim is to unite them under their love of music. In terms of platforms my video can be shown on it is very universal however i feel it would work best on platforms such as facebook and instagram as they have the most users possible and can target the add to people using their algorithms.

This article provides a very interesting look into how through singing and music we can suconronise out minds. We also learn about how our brains are wired for music and how the mind responds to music. Its very in-depth and discusses multiple studies and tests. how ever there is very little discussion of topics such as genera of music. How ever this is very useful information for when i am directing the scenes and getting the actors synced up to shoot the scene.

This article provides some great incite into the many different ways humanity has used music throughout history and how it has been used to join us. It provides its information in nice short paragraphs that are easy to understand and provides nice titles to give you an idea of what's to come. However there isn't a lot of in-depth knowledge on display so i feel like there is more information available then what is shown here. The history of music is useful information as it allows me to create the video knowing that music has always connected us. and in the add itself you could consider it a trip through time as each genre shown in the video is older than the last. Starting with pop/ rave and ending with country.

This is a very in-depth study of the use of music for the development of youth in school. It is a very good study of how music can be used in ways outside of just enjoyment and dancing. How ever this is slightly unrelated to my video i felt it was important to really look into the way music can be used for better development and connection.

All these ads make use of unique music and camera choices which id like to use in my own video. Along with sharing a similar tone to what i want mine to have. How ever they are all very different to how i imagine my final video to look and feel. All these advertisements however aren't exactly the tone i am looking for and don't perfectly reflect the visuals and style i want.

. How different groups feel about different music.
. What can be changed? How can these different genres be connected?
. Through researching the topic and going out and speaking to people.

Red hat
. I'm passionate about music.

. I doubt the world can be fixed but hope this may help.

Black hat
. The message may not be effective.
. Getting the audience to actually engage and participate may be difficult.
. There could be flaws in the presentation of the video and there may be flaws with the website.

. This advertisement/ website preaches the values of togetherness and coming together to bond over a similar subject.
. Challenging the viewers thoughts on the people around them and the world as a whole.

. There are many ways to convey this message using not only visuals but also audio and writing.
. Visually showing people of different backgrounds enjoying music in their own ways shows how we all have that in common.

. Planning the video and website out must be done carefully as if there are noticeable tone shifts between the two or some continuity or logical flaws then it will be less effective.

We see a black screen with the text "what do we all share?" as we hear the sounds of dance music fading in and we see a group of teenagesr partying and having fun as the music fades out and a new song fades in and the screen goes black. We then see the text "it is universal from generation to generation" as the sound of an extreme heavy metal song and we see a band on stage playing to an audience and they are jumping and moshing to the song and the screen goes black again.

A new set of text appears reading "in a time where we are more divided than ever" now the sound of a low energy country song begins to fade in and we witness a family sitting around a campfire at night enjoying eachothers company and listening to the song. The music fades out and the screen goes black one last time as we see the text "music connects us", on this image there is a link to a website and more text saying "go to out website for more information"

This is the song for the heavy metal part of the video. This track was also made using band lab however i will be re recording it using audacity to get a better guitar sound. this song is inspired by classic 80s thrash metal like Metallica.

I created this mind map using bubble.us. i colour coded it to make it easy for the eye to follow along the path my mind went on. After finishing this mind map i feel that my chosen topic is what i will use and i have no need to re work it. This is my colour wheel for the colours i want to primarily use for my video production. each section of the video will feature these colours in a big way. the video will begin using green highlighting lights to emphasises its modern nature and youthful energy. the next section will future a lot of red to match the angry energetic feeling metal is built on. finally the last section will be a comfortable yellow to match up with the comfort of the campfire used in the scene. the blue element will be used in conjuction with black in between these section to help the audience relax their eyes and not become overwhelming.

For my video i want the tone to be very relatable and energetic with nice colours and fun visuals. but i also want there to be a calm emotional moment at the end of the video to make the audience really feel and connect with the message of the ad.

I chose these fonts for their unique nes and how well they fit with the themes of the video. I also wanted to be sure they were very readable, especially as I have dyslexia so readability is very important. And for the large text i wanted something bold and attention grabbing. I like all of these fonts but after critically looking at them i have chosen the two i will use. All these fonts come from google fonts and are available for use by anyone for anything.

After looking over all the options i had, i decided that these two font works the best for my project. they are legible and would work with what i'm trying to create. I especially like how sharp and powerful the Josefin Sans font looks. The Roboto font is also very clean and east to read.

I created these logos in photoshop. I wanted to use some of the colours from my colour wheel to add more dynamics. The theme behind them all was the idea of connection and love through music. I combined the images of love and music to put that idea into the audiences mind.

I like how this logo looks and it reflects my idea for my video and i like how the colours blend together. It's also very easy on the eyes and flows nicely. the idea behind the two brains being different colours was to represent that people who are very different can still connect with music.
