I agree least with the History student's argument because there are things that we can't record but still could have happened. Like the fact that the Earth exists, we didn't record that but we know it's true. I know it's because we are observing the earth and we didn't observe the big bang but even though we don't know for sure that something happened you can't just deny it all together. If the Big Bang did happen, it put everything into existence then there is no possible way to record it anyway.

I accept the history student's response the least because it is just downright stupid and ignorant. It was not possible and is not possible to visually record the Big Bang, so, we can assume the Big Bang happened unless we discover something else.

The history student is a bubblegum. A lot of people believed it happened. Just because they haven't seen it, doesn't mean it's not real. The paleontology student makes a good argument.

The history students response is correct but they also chose not to believe that the Big Bang wasn't real. They are biased against it.

I think the Big Bang is one theory for why it happened. It could very well be true but who knows maybe something else caused it that we haven't even thought of yet.

While they all have good points I agree with the Paleontology student, just because there isn't evidence that you can hold doesn't mean it didn't happen. I also agree with the astronomy student because you can not deny that the universe is expanding rapidly and at some point the universe must have been closer and as it started to expand you could call that the big bang. I am not sure what I believe though.

Of all the college students ideas, I think that the History Student's, makes the least sense. This is because, sometimes it's not possible to have witnesses, but we have evidence to prove that something exists. An example of this is the dinosaurs, there were no people to see them, but we have evidence that they were there. This is the same case with the Big Bang.

The history student is wrong but the other people aren't necessarily right acting like a guess (A very educated one but still a guess) is 100% true because if we think that all theories are right then no one will try to disprove it

I disagree with the History Student's answer the most because we have a lot of different things that help us prove that the big bang happened. The HS also has no evidence or support of their statement, they are simply telling everyone their own opinion.

I feel the big bang theory is still just a theory because it hasn't actually been proved wrong or proved right. This theory also probably started with a "what if" statement. I kind of disagree with the astronomy student in that regard

Is the big bang theory just a theory? Essentially, and sadly, it is. It is a theory, but JUST like everything else--including religion and anything else on how the universe began--it is. Nobody knows if there was a big bang or if there was a god or if there was anything at all. You cannot--and should not--bring opinion into this. It is a fact that nothing has ever been proven.
