Four Pillars of Alchemy

I believe that The Road not Taken relates to the second pillar of Alchemy which is "one must listen to the voice of their heart." I believe that it is that pillar because if there are two roads, you are going to have to make a choice as to which one you're hoping is the right one. With The Alchemist, Santiago has to decide his path with his own hero's journey. As he turns one corner, he has to figure out what adventure or what choice comes next. One's heart is the deciding factor of which that truly is what they believe in.

Diana Nyad knew that time was getting closer to when she wouldn't be able to swim this swim and she took a risk. This quote exemplifies the thought of you never know what is going to happen and that is the beauty of life. You just need to embrace it and work forward.

In the passion articles, they talked about the indefinite passion that everyone has within their life. Everyone has a passion but to assume that that passion is to become a reality is rubbish. The quote from nature helps support the argument because if a man were to follow his passion and get lost along the way, it is perhaps another road to this passion. Or perhaps it could be a distinction of what your heart may want, if you want it to follow the stars, then follow the stars. Your passion will take some hard work to get to, and even so, you might not reach your passion. It's not a good idea to give yourself false hope.
