Very effective, deals with serious situations, promotes safety and future harm, stops criminals from earning money by selling drugs, women and children. Gets the states of Australia communicating. Very strict, may sentence imorisonment just for lying which is good as it shows how serious they are about people breaking the law.

Eligibility requirements:
* Must be an Australian Citizen (unless there are exceptional circumstances)
* Must be willing to undertake a security assessment
* Must be willing to undergo a medical assessment if applicable
* Redundancy assessment

Assessment of Applicant:
* if an interview is required an applicant may have to attend a panel interview assessment or workplace assessment centre whereby a selection criteria is used for assessing capabilities of the individual.

Reference Checks:
* Must provide contacts of current ot other referees.
* Written documentation are only acceptable if specifically requested.

Employment screening & Security clearance:
* Specific employment screening process
* Psychological assessment
* Security clearance process conducted by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.

All staff in the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission are required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.
