There are many different paths a doctor, but a minimum requirement is 7 years of medical school for most. You also need specific certifications depending on the path you take. While this is a long time, lots of knowledge is needed.

There are different paths to being a pipefitter, either as a contracted union worker, or hired by a specific company. However, there are still different programs for where you work. A program example is either an HVAC or Building trade division classes.

During the 5 year apprenticeship to become a pipefitter, you will still get paid, just not as much. During this apprenticeship, you must show up to classes and work, but there is no campus or anything of the sort you need to stay on. Someone might select a post-secondary more than others because they don’t want to be stuck somewhere away from home, or just don’t enjoy the extreme amounts of homework other jobs might have before being hired.

Going to college for 7 years can be extremely expensive, with colleges ranging from $80,000 to $150,000 roughly per year, not even including every necessity. You would have to spend extra on food, medical expenses, and many other things.

If I choose to go my second option, I could simply stay home for my education for it. I live in very close proximity to the training sight, so I wouldn’t have to go anywhere.

After making this, I feel that I will choose to become a doctor. For a long time I have been thinking about becoming one. A reason is that I really enjoy helping people, as I feel great joy when doing so. Another reason is that I have a fascination with first aid, as I find it extremely interesting. Finally, I just feel that it is the right path for me. I have loved helping people my entire life, and I think becoming a doctor would be a great fit for my and my personality.
