I think that he will experience the same nightmare for several nights because I think the nightmare wants something from Conor. Because just hearing he sound of the voice makes me think that the nightmare wants revenge. He tried to explain the ways of life to try and help Connor who was going through tough times. I think what will happen next is that the nightmare will continue at his grandmas house. But I believe that the nightmare will give a life lesson and some support to Connor on how to stay strong when his mom is at the hospital. The monsters tells these stories by trying to help conor to succeed and overcome his sadness while his mom is in the hospital. When the monster tells these stories he wants conor to realize that his grandma isnt a bad person she is just trying to help connor because his dad left and shes the only one that conor has. So the monster tells conor that she isnt a bad person shes just trying to look out for him.
