In the past ten years, the “gig economy” has become an increasingly important segment of the labour market. Under-30s are more likely to engage in freelance, contracted or zero-hour work arrangements instead of traditional full-time jobs. Research on the reasons for and consequences of this shift has focused on objective measures of income, working hours and employment conditions, but there has been little work exploring young people’s subjective experiences of the gig economy.

In the literature on the gig economy, these new forms of employment are sometimes characterized as a flexible active choice and sometimes as an exploitative last resort. To gain a fuller understanding of why young people engage in the gig economy, in-depth qualitative research is required. Focusing on workers’ experiences can help develop more robust theories of flexibility and precarity in contemporary employment, as well as potentially informing future policy objectives.

This study aims to better understand young people’s experiences in the gig economy. A mini survey will be used to gain better insight into the motivations and perceptions of under-30s engaged in freelance and zero-hour work across various industries. This data will be contextualized with a review of recent literature on the gig economy and demographic changes in the workforce.

Students who procrastinate experience higher levels of frustration, guilt, stress, and anxiety—in some cases leading to serious issues like low self-esteem and depression. The effects of procrastination can have an even bigger impact on high school students. Once students reach high school and start receiving more take-home assignments and larger projects, students who procrastinate until the last minute tend to receive lower grades than their peers. This can create a cycle of bad grades and low self-confidence that can be difficult for students to overcome. At a time when marks start to impact the post-secondary opportunities for students, this can lead to a lot of extra stress and frustration.

3.A survey will be conducted know the reason and the effect of procrastination among students . The study found out that the fictitious Chinese candidates dominated the callbacks by a huge margin. The study find that when companies list “Mandarin required” in their advertisement, it is actually a filter to hire Chinese candidates. Their third hypothesis was the hijab plays a crucial factor in determining a candidate’s successfully job application. The study found out that a Malay girl without a hijab gets more callbacks than a Malay girl who wears a hijab.

The study concluded that even as candidates had the same qualifications, education and experience, the ethnicity of a candidate still plays a vital role in the success of a job application. Hard working Indian and Malay students will not get the opportunity they deserve, creating a dangerous future of inequality and social instability.

Due to the spread of this disease and the closure of physical classes, online learning through the uses of several devices like computers, laptops, tablets and mobile phones with internet access in synchronous and asynchronous environments become the alternative learning methods. Through these learning methods and environments, students have a freedom in learning and get connected with their teachers anywhere they want . There are two modes in online learning, which are synchronous and asynchronous depending on the application of applying optional timing of interaction . The synchronous online learning provides the direct interaction between the lecturers and students during class through tools such as videoconference or chatrooms. While asynchronous online learning provides the opportunity for the lecturers and students to interact before or after the online class through thread discussion and emails. The online learning provides advantages in independent learning and developing new skills in the process leading to life-long learning.

Online learning provides advantages for both students and universities. In developed countries such as MALAYSIA , the students opted to have flexible time for learning, which is more convenient for them to access the teaching materials. The universities also gain benefits through the implementation of this learning method, which is more cost-effective with a wide audience and no necessities of physical infrastructure. However, the online teaching has a few limitations as the lecturers faced difficulty in preparing materials for the online method, which is a very time-consuming process. Also, the online learning become challenging tasks in assisting the students in accessing the learning materials as online learning requires less supervision.

1. YouTube is a video sharing service that allows users to watch videos posted by other users and upload videos of their own. The service was started as an independent website in 2005 and was acquired by Google in 2006. Videos that have been uploaded to YouTube may appear on the YouTube website and can also be posted on other websites, though the files are hosted on the YouTube server. The slogan of the YouTube website is "Broadcast Yourself." This implies the YouTube service is designed primarily for ordinary people who want to publish videos they have created. While several companies and organizations also use YouTube to promote their business, the vast majority of YouTube videos are created and uploaded by amateurs.

2. By using YouTube, a student from one country can have access to education from another country. Therefore, learning on Youtube has gained tremendous importance. Students don’t have to go outside or spend a fortune to learn the required chapters. So learners can save both their time and money. If a student is not able to understand a concept they have an option to watch it again. Teachers can provide good quality education which is not able to reach many students in a traditional way. There are no requirements of any classroom, benches, or other school materials to learn anything. Only a robust and reliable internet connection and a smartphone are needed. For any kind of information or clarification on a topic, students just have to search for Youtube by entering the desired title and a number of videos with similar information will pop up on the screen. By the observed usage of YouTube video views, the entire world is turning into a classroom where some people are teachers and the rest are students.

3.

Smartphone addiction affects physical and psychological health. Depression or anxiety can cause technology addiction, in that individuals with depression or anxiety use smartphone as a coping method to deal with depressive and negative emotions. Smartphone addicts engage in checking behavior and react to notification sounds frequently. That is also a characteristic of depression and anxiety. A longitudinal study on heavy users of a computer, social media, and mobile phone showed greater level of prolonged stress, depression, and sleep disturbances. Excessive smartphone use at night could keep one awake till late, thus impairing sleep and influencing stress and depression. Screen time and Internet usage were found to affect sleep and SNS addicts were reported to show poorer sleep quality than non-SNS addicts did.

The negative effects of smartphone overuse on physical health include cancer; brain tumor; nervous disturbances; weakening of the immune system; problems with the eardrum; pain in the wrist, neck, and joints; fatigue; and sleep disorders.

As stated above, the overuse of the smartphone causes health problems, but the deprivation of a smartphone can also cause health problems. For instance, smartphone addicts were reported to feel distressed when deprived of their smartphone for some time, and adolescents exhibited anxiety, depression, anger, and sleep disturbances when their smartphones were switched off.

Our current situation is deeply unsettling. Entrepreneurs are facing many obstacles, including ensuring the businesses they have put their blood, sweat, and tears into continue to stay afloat. On top of that, many of them have employees that they’re trying to protect and reassure—a monumental task when they themselves are struggling with burnout.

From hundreds of discussions with my clients, business owners, and regional leaders, I’ve been able to pinpoint five main worries entrepreneurs are dealing with during the COVID-19 pandemic.

1. Taking action and moving forward

A crisis like the one we’re currently experiencing requires quick thinking in the face of uncertainty. However, with such high stakes on the line, entrepreneurs find themselves dealing with “analysis paralysis,” or the inability to make a decision due to overthinking.Delaying decisions will only lead to more problems—and those problems will require more decisions. Decisions are never final for the simple fact that change is never absolute.”
Break down what you need to do into smaller steps and then attend to issues based on their level of urgency. Once you start taking proactive measures, you’ll feel more in control and more confident in your ability to navigate oncoming trials and tribulations.

2. Keeping up with legislation

The business landscape is changing at a rapid pace. It seems like the government releases new regulations that affect business owners almost every day.
In order to understand and follow new legislation and changes, business owners will need to monitor news from the local, state, and federal government daily. Most importantly, make sure you’re getting your information from an official source, such as a government website, a bank representative, accountant, or other professionals in your network. One useful resource is the usa.gov website, which lists pertinent information about health and safety, money and taxes, benefits and grants, and much more.

3. Finding balance and achieving a healthy mindset

Fear. Anxiety. Hopelessness. We’re all experiencing a lot of intense emotions during these ever-evolving times, and entrepreneurs are no exception. To make it worse, there’s an additional level of stress as they try to do best by their employees and customers. It can help to remember the saying “you can’t pour from an empty cup.” Overextending yourself leads to burnout, and once you reach that state you won’t be able to help anyone. That’s why it’s imperative that entrepreneurs carve out time to recharge and take care of themselves. It can be hard to break away from work right now. Be intentional by setting a block of time in your schedule for self-care—whether that be going for a walk, spending time with your family, or enjoying a long, luxurious bath. The more you’re able to find inner calm during this crisis, the better able you are to make decisions and lead your business.

Most commonly, the substance used is the dried leaves of the tobacco plant, which have been rolled into a small rectangle of rolling paper to create a small, round cylinder called a "cigarette". Smoking is primarily practised as a route of administration for recreational drug use because the combustion of the dried plant leaves vaporizes and delivers active substances into the lungs where they are rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream and reach bodily tissue.

2. Depression is a common mental health problem that causes people to experience low mood, loss of interest or pleasure, feelings of guilt or low self-worth, disturbed sleep or appetite, low energy and poor connection. Depression affects not only the life of the person who suffers from the disorder, but also the lives of family and friends and depression ultimately affects society as a whole. In recent years, number of university students diagnosed, treated, and given medication for depression has increased. It can be stated that depression is a serious emotional problem for university students because it affects younger and older adults directly and proficiently.

2. The demanding academic training of students in other health professions, for example physical therapy, often results not only in stress, but also symptoms of burnout to studying, excessive homework, attending uninteresting yet fast-paced classes, while taking extensive notes while at the same time having a lack of free time, and the strain placed on relationships are some of the academic stress and causes of burnout faced by physical therapy students.

3. University students who had a lower academic achievement level demonstrated significantly more depressive symptoms than those who demonstrated high academic achievement. It was indicated that depression levels of university students did not significantly differ according to gender and residence location types and their interaction, and the same findings for the factors were obtained when academic achievement levels were held constant.

- In today's era, social media is a technology that is not unfamiliar to every individual regardless of age, gender, and race. Statistics from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) show that as of December 2018, Malaysia has 28.7 million Internet users which are 87.4 percent of the total population of the country. This is because the world has been surrounded by scientific and technological advances that can have a great influence indirectly on modern human civilization and also have an impact whether positive or negative depending on the individual user. Therefore, there is no denying that one communication phenomenon in the Internet world that is increasingly popular at this time is social media. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Path, Pinterest to Google+ are increasingly universally and widely used. This study aims to identify public perceptions of the dissemination of news and information through social media on ethical construction among the community.

- Social media is a medium of communication and dissemination of information and has been be a trend in the lives of today's society especially the youth. The Thing evidenced by the results of the 2019 Digital Report released by Hootsuit and We Are Social explains that 3.5 billion or 45 percent of the world's population now uses the media social day. Malaysia is the 5th country in the world and the top place in Southeast Asia most active in social media.
- Nowadays, social media has been abused by a handful of communities that do not to disseminate false news and information that could have a to individuals, families, communities and countries.

-The fake news and information contains elements of fraud, fueling racial sentiment and slandering a person to discredit his reputation and reputation etc. This is particularly worrying because information and news like this can have a negative impact on acceptance and use.

- The rapid rise of social media has also changed the lifestyle and routine of people's lives. This is because the increasingly sophisticated facilities make it possible for a person to access it not only through the use of a mobile computer but also through smartphone which is also equipped with internet surfing facilities. Therefore, stakeholders such as the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), CyberSecurity Malaysia and the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) play an important role in the process of taking action against consumers who have abused this facility through detailed methods and acts drafted so that the issue of dissemination of fake news and information will not continue to color the current scenario of the country.

- The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) prohibits any form of sharing of content that is false, offensive and threatening is an offence under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act (CMA) 1998. With the punishments imposed, each individual will be taught that a person who loves to abuse social media should be responsible for his own actions.

-Every day, we’re waking up to a world that has become like a stranger to us. The stress of sheltering in place and fear of the unknown has left many of us stressed, socially isolated or just plain bored.
There’s no denying it: Our lives have been turned upside down.
But there are things we can all do to help make these days better and to stay healthy, says Michigan Medicine dietitian Sue Ryskamp, who sees patients at the Frankel Cardiovascular Center. “Keeping yourself healthy includes heightened hygiene, exercise and eating right.”

-Quarantine is associated with stress and depression leading to unhealthy diet and reduced physical activity. A diet poor in fruit and vegetables is frequent during isolation, with a consequent low intake of antioxidants and vitamins. However, vitamins have recently been identified as a principal weapon in the fight against the Covid-19 virus. Some reports suggest that Vitamin D could exert a protective effect on such infection. During quarantine, strategies to further increase home-based physical activity and to encourage adherence to a healthy diet should be implemented. The WHO has just released guidance for people in self-quarantine, those without any symptoms or diagnosis of acute respiratory illness, which provides practical advice on how to stay active and reduce sedentary behavior while at home.

-

Poor mental health of university students is becoming a serious issue in many countries. Malaysia - a leading country for Asia-Pacific education - is one of them. Despite the government’s effort to raise awareness, Malaysian students’ mental health remains challenging, exacerbated by the students’ negative attitudes towards mental health (anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts). Relatedly, self-compassion and resilience have been reported to improve mental health and mental health attitudes. Malaysian students (n = 153) responded to paper-based measures about mental health problems, negative mental health attitudes, self-compassion, and resilience. Scores were compared with 105 UK students, who also suffered from poor mental health and negative mental health attitudes, to make a cross-cultural comparison, to contextualise Malaysian students’ mental health status, using t tests (aim 1). Correlation, path, and moderation analyses were conducted, to evaluate the relationships among these mental health constructs (aim 2). Malaysian students scored higher on mental health problems and negative mental health attitudes, and lower on self-compassion and resilience than UK students. Mental health problems were positively associated with negative mental health attitudes, and negatively associated with self-compassion and resilience. While self-compassion mediated the relationship between negative mental health attitudes and mental health problems (high self-compassion weakened the impacts of negative mental health attitudes on mental health problems), resilience did not moderate the same relationship (the level of resilience did not influence the impact of negative mental health attitudes on mental health problems). Self-compassion training was suggested to counter the challenging mental health in Malaysian university students.

Retail therapy has been a way of regulating stress, but just like over-eating and junk food consumption, people more likely to describe retail therapy using negative words, like nonsense or debt, rather than positive words, like fun or enjoyment. But the first step to fully being able to enjoy the stress-free experience is to let go of the guilt that you associate with spending money. If you’re on a budget, set a reasonable limit ahead of time, and make a promise to yourself to keep to that budget. Stay within your own limits so that you can still feel as comfortable as you need to before you go shopping. Some experts recommend leaving credit cards at home and carrying cash instead, so that you’re limited to what you have in your pocket.
However, if you’re more worried that you’re going to regret the things that you’re going to buy, then travel with a list of items that you need to buy, that way you buy things that you needed while being able to enjoy the activity of just simply shopping.Just always remember that you’re not wasting your time, you are using this time to your fullest potentialto reduce the amount of stress that is on your mind. The majority of people can’t even remember the last time they consciously took a break when they needed it. By taking time to sufficiently relax, you’re doing yourself a favor, you’re doing your family members a favor, you’re doing your coworkers a favor, and you’re definitely doing your heart and health a favor!Keep in mind that anything that reduces your stress also reduces your blood pressure. It’s our simple mantra and you can adopt it too! Do the activities that you love and that keep you excited about life, it’s all in the name of good health!

One of the main reasons why power banks even exist is because lots of people use their smartphone. From the moment we wake up, we’re most likely using our smartphone nearly the entire day. There’s nothing to be ashamed about that though because smartphones are usually what we need to either communicate with other people and use as a form of entertainment. They’re even integrated into our work life. It’s in those times, about halfway throughout your day that you may notice that the battery of your smartphone is nearly at 0% and that’s when you start to panic because your smartphone is about to die and there’s basically no way to keep texting your friends, make plans and be connected to the world. Overall, it’s a bad situation to be in.

In those times you need a source of power to charge your smartphone. You can’t exactly whip out a wall charger and start charging because you need an outlet. If you have a car charger, are you really going to just stay in your car and wait for your smartphone to charge to an acceptable power capacity? No! that’s going to waste time and you’re always on the go and have things to do. This is where a power bank comes in because you can easily just begin charging your smartphone with your power bank when it’s low on power and that will result in a constant use of a smartphone without any interruptions.
