         <description><![CDATA[<div>This song is played in the novel when Gatsby makes Kilpsinger play the song on the piano.&nbsp; When Daisy went to Gatsby's house for the first time. <strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong><em><br>"'One thing's sure and nothing's surer<br>The rich get richer and the poor get-- children.'" (page 95)</em></strong></div><div>While Kilpsinger is singing this song Nick looks over at Gatsby and sees the huge smile plastered across his face.<br>This shows how Gatsby feels towards&nbsp; daisy and how is attitude changes when he is with her. &nbsp;<br>        This song in the book showed the underlying theme of the book which was materialism, throughout the book.  </div>]]></description>

I say I'm blue and I'm lonesome, people, My heart is filled with misery."</em></strong><em><br></em>This song quote can also show how Gatsby is feeling when he sees Daisy with Tom.</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; This song in the book gave reference to how the obsession that Gatsby had over Daisy. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This song is about cheating and this song would describe how Daisy would feel when she found out that Tom was cheating on her with Myrtle.<strong><br></strong><strong><em>"It's too late (now) and I can't wait for you to be gone <br>'Cause I know about her (who) and I wonder (why) how I bought all the lies<br>You said that you would treat me right but you was just a waste of time (waste of time)"<br></em></strong>And just like in the song Daisy was filled with such rage and that lead to Myrtle's death.<br>The book is filled with rage when the whole book unravels after Myrtle's death.  Just like how this song was written.  </div>]]></description>

The part about the change in his pocket is because no on e sees Gatsby as equal to them because he didn't earn his money the same way they did. <br>The song was written in the eyes of a person who wants someone they can't have.</div>]]></description>
