         <description><![CDATA[<div>Harmful effects become noticeable when the pH of water falls below 5.0 or rises to above 9.6. When pH is below certain levels, fish become susceptible to infections and physical deformities. Fish reproduction is affected at pH levels below 5.0 and fish start to die below a pH level of 4.0.  This forces the fish to relocate in order to survive. Water with a low pH is highly acidic and can burn a fish's skin. Younger fish are more sensitive to higher acidic water than adult fish.</div>]]></description>
