To-date that work has largely focused on documenting current temperatures, however, looking forward we do have some funding to emphasis projecting future stream temps. There has been increasing recognition that the NoRweST stream temps are chronically underestimating / forecasting the stream temps in specific areas of WA. For the regionally-based staff it is hard for them to track all of the different simultaneous efforts regarding stream temperature monitoring / forecasting as they are often done watershed by watershed.
